Nora Kershaw Chadwick (* 1891; † 1972) war eine britische Gelehrte, die sich der traditionellen Literatur verschrieben hatte. Sie arbeitete mit ihrem Gatten, Hector Munro Chadwick, an einer vielbändigen Übersicht über mündlich überlieferten Traditionen und orale Dichtung. The Growth of Literature wurde von der Cambridge University Press zwischen 1932 und 1940 veröffentlicht:

Später arbeitete Nora Chadwick mit Viktor Schirmunski zusammen an der Revision des Teiles in Band 3, der sich mit der epischen Dichtung in zentralasiatischen Sprachen beschäftigt. Der revidierte Text über die epische Dichtung der Turkvölker Zentralasiens ist 1969 separat als Oral Epics of Central Asia erschienen.

Ein weiteres schmales, aber wichtiges Werk untersucht die Zusammenhänge zwischen Dichtung und Prophezeiung (Poetry and Prophecy, 1942)

Keltologie

Sie schrieb auch über die Keltische Geschichte Britanniens und der Bretagne (Britannia Major, Britannia Minor) und arbeitete unter anderem mit Myles Dillon und Kenneth H. Jackson zusammen. 1949 erschien ihr Early Scotland, 1965 veröffentlichte sie The colonization of Brittany from Celtic Britain.
